The Full Story

I had dappled in photography growing up but never saw myself as a photographer. I knew, however, that I would be an artist in one way or another for the rest of my life. Coming out of my first semester at community college as an English major I was deeply unhappy and knew I wanted to pursue art. I had thought back to the only photography class I ever took in my senior year in high school. From that I went full force through and while I took a year off college I spent time building a portfolio to apply to the only college I found myself interested in. The College of New Jersey. I applied in August 2019 and was accepted as a transfer student to be a transfer for the Spring semester of 2020. I spent 49 days on campus before the pandemic hit. Over the next year and a half I pursued an art degree from the confines of my childhood bedroom. With a major in Fine arts and a core focus in photography I paired it with a professional writing minor. Four years later and I graduated Magnum Cume Laude and moved back home to pursue photography as a career.
